Instalation Checks - Java

These pages will test your instalation of Map Weasel and your browser
settings. Hopefully, if something is wrong, the hints here will enable
you to identify and fix it.
This first test is to check that Java is working properly.

This first test simply makes sure that your browser can
display Java applets. To the left you should see (after a
short pause for startup) `OK!' on a green background. If not,
see below.

Your web browser is unable to load or run the applet

Make sure the file `easel.jar' is in the folder
where you unpacked Map Weasel.

| Check that Java support is enabled in your browser. For
Explorer look under `Internet Options' in the security
settings. In Netscape look under Advanced on the preferences
panel.
