<p>
Welcome to <a href="http://information.overlaid.com">Map Weasel</a>.
A description of the contents of this package can be found <a href="Contents.html">here</a>.

<p>
If you have not already done so you will need to put this package
where your web server can deliver it to users. We have included some
<a href="Installation.html">notes on doing this</a> for some common
situations.

<h2><a href='installation/java.html'>Browser Tests</a></h2>

<blockquote>
	<strong>Required</strong>: The Map Weasel distribution,
	unpacked and visible to your web browser.
	</strong>
</blockquote>

<p>
These tests will quickly check that your web browser is working
correctly and is configured so that Map Weasel will work. This will
usually be the case unless features have been turned off. You can take
the tests now to be on teh safe side, or come back and do them if
something mysterious happens.

<h2><a href='tutorial/index.html'>Tutorial</a></h2>

<blockquote>
	<strong>Required</strong>: Installed Map Weasel distribution,
	some knowledge of HTML and JavaScript.

	</strong>
</blockquote>

<p>
Our <a href='tutorial/index.html'>tutorial pages</a> will help you get started
creating mapping applications in 4 stages, starting from a simple
location indicator and moving up to a sophisticated geographical
search page.

<h2><a href='examples/index.html'>Examples</a></h2>

<blockquote>
	<strong>Required</strong>: Familiarity with the Map Weasel,
	for example from working through the tutorial.
	</strong>
</blockquote>

<p>
We have included a selection of example applications to illustrate a
range of ways of using the Map Weasel.

<h2><a href='documentation/manual/book1.htm'>Documentation</a></h2>

<p>
The <a href='documentation/manual/book1.htm'>full Information
Overlaid documentation</a> gives all the details you might need to use
the Map Weasel to it's full advantage. The latest documentation can
allways be found on <a href="http://information.overlaid.com/stable/weasel/documentation/manual/book1.htm">our web
site</a>.

<h2>Cleanup</h2>

<p>
If you want to minimise the number of things you must install on your
web server to use Map Weasel, you can safely delete all of the
sub-folders of this directory, for instance <strong><tt>installation</tt></strong>, and
all of the <strong><tt>.html</tt></strong> files.
