Limitations of Freasel

Because Freasel is based on Version 1.12 of the Information Overlaid software, which means that they offer the core Weasel functionality, some of the features of the current version (Version 2.2). are not available.

In particular:

• Markers cannot be given text labels
• There is no support for map copyright messages
• There is no support for brightening or manipulating areas of the background image
• There are callbacks for mouse clicks and region selection, but not for "drag/drop".
• Only fixed rectangular mouse sensitive regions (Hot Spots) can be defined.
• Any GIF or JPG image can be used as a marker, but the image cannot be modified (recoloured)
