Weasel for Free

Freasel is a version of Weasel that can be downloaded and used without payment. It is available with no expiry date or size limits, and can be used in complex applications.

However, it is based on Version 1.12 of the Information Overlaid software, so although it offers the core Weasel functionality, some features of the current version (Version 2.2) are not available.

It also pauses briefly to show a branding screen during start-up, and displays an identification message/logo while it is running. We are considering making it possible to suppress this advertising is on payment of a small fee: please contact us if you are interested.

To use Freasel, you have to register with us. You will then be able to specify a URL and be able to download a copy of Freasel licensed for indefinite use on that page (i.e. embedded within the HTML document coming from that URL).

NOTE

Freasel is supplied absolutely "as is", and will not be supported or maintained in any way. In particular, there is no support for upgrading Freasel to any other version of Information Overlaid, either now or in the future.

There are two versions of Freasel: one will operate on any URL for a period of 7 days. The other will operate indefinitely on a particular URL. If in future the site is restructured or moved to a different ISP, they cannot be moved to a new URL. The only option will be to obtain a new copy of whatever version is current at the time, which may or may not be fully compatible.

Where uninterrupted operation of a site is important, the current version will be more appropriate.
