How Information Overlaid works

Information Overlaid is based on Easel, a small, flexible Java applet for displaying images and superimposing markers at specific positions.

Because the markers are dynamically added to the image, Easel can easily highlight or remove them, and allow users to interact with them.

Coupled with a Javascript library, Easel forms Weasel, a package that can be easily added to a web page to create a state-of-the-art interactive information presentation.
